Amazon Associate, Amazon Afilliate â€" Getting Started and Succeeding. www.junglebiz.net This is the true, real life story of housewife, mom, and busy executive Erica. A couple of years ago, she realised that she needed to make the break from the corporate world, and she started looking online for ways to get her own online business started. She had a few false starts along the way, but then she came to realise that the one area where she was successful was as an Amazon Associate. Within weeks of coming to that realisation, she had quickly replaced her corporate paycheck with her online earnings, and she has never looked back. She has become quite well known, and very popular, in certain circles online, and she has helped many other people to emulate her success as an Amazon Associate. In these austere times, Amazon offers people wanting to get started online, or those who just want to augment their incomes, some pretty solid business models to work with. You could become an Amazon Associate, set up an Astore, Publish on Kindle (you don't need to be Shakespeare), or sell physical products online using Fulfilment by Amazon. The Kindle Fire was once again the top-selling product on Amazon.com's (NASDAQ:AMZN) retail store, but it continues to eat into the company's profit margins with its heavily discounted price. The company clearly does have a plan for how the future ... Amazon Has BIG Plans for Kindle Fire

The result: a very cheap Kindle 3 (only $ 139 for the Wi-Fi version and $ 189 for the 3G one), with much better and faster interactivity, great readability and even a little smaller, too. (To purchase the new Kindle 3 reading device, CLICK HERE). Now let's go into details and compare the new Kindle 3 with previous versions of the Amazon reader such as Kindle 2 and Kindle DX, as well as to its main rival: the Nook.

Since we have quite a bit to cover, let's start from the beginning, shall we? The new Amazon Kindle 3once again offers a 6'' screen, but this time it comes in a slightly smaller, slimmer body: by taking away the numbered keys, Amazon has reduced even more the size (and weight) of the previous Kindle 2 without altering the screen size or damaging overall usability. On the contrary, I've found Kindle 3 much easier to handle and use due to certain improvements in the e-reader's keyboard, such as thinner next/previous page buttons on both sides of the Kindle body. You will find a cheap Kindle 3 reader that's learned from previous mistakes of its predecessors and has capitalized on this knowledge to actually improve the user's reading experience.

But, how cheaper is the latest Amazon Kindle 3 reading device? Well, the new Kindle ebook reader comes in two versions: with Wi-Fi only capabilities and with both Wi-Fi and traditional 3G connectivity too, as was the case with the previous Kindle DX, for instance. The Wi-Fi only version is being sold right now at only $ 139, while the Wi-Fi/3G model's price is a quite modest $ 189. How to choose between the both? Well, I personally chose the Wi-Fi only version, since I have this kind of access at home and I'm pretty much always near a hot spot everywhere I go. Then again, if you happen to travel a lot or you just can't have Wi-Fi access to the internet at home, you will probably be better off with the Wi-Fi/3G model. 3G connectivity for the Kindle 3 (as well as for other versions) is available on around 100 countries around the world.

Here are some of the most important Kindle 3's improvements over past models:

- Price: I mentioned it before, but I wanted to say it again. You can purchase a cheap Kindle 3 for almost 50% of the price of a Kindle 2 when it was originally launched. Also, The Kindle 3 Wi-fi only version is $ 10 less than the Wi-Fi model of the Nook, and the 3G enabled model is also $ 10 cheaper than B&N's equivalent.

- Higher E-Ink screen contrast: This is without a doubt one of Amazon Kindle 3's best features. Definition is even better than in previous models (Amazon claims it to be 50% better than Kindle 2's; I wouldn't go that far, but it's definitely the best in the market hands down). In fact, this generation's Kindle's e-ink technology has made possible and even enjoyable to read and e-book in plain sunlight (see the picture), something that would be impossible to do for more than 5 minutes with the Nook or the iPad for that matter.

- Size: You may not notice it in the beginning, but The Kindle 3 reader is a bit smaller and lighter than Kindle 2, while at the same time keeping the same 6'' screen. This is due to the elimination of 1 row of numbered keys (which doesn't hurt usability at all, in my opinion).

- Native and improved PDF support: This was an improvement first included in Kindle DX. It's indeed very useful, particularly since many docs come now in this format. Along with PDF support being enhanced, other functionalities such as the ability to zoom in by using landscape mode remain the same.

-New web-kit based browser: Not the best browser in the world ,if you ask me (Amazon themselves claim it to be "experimental" at this point), but certainly a nice touch, particularly since the new Kindle 3 has now in-built Wi-Fi capabilities. Still easier to use than the Nook's.

- Overall faster interactivity: Another key improvement. If you're tired of waiting a couple of seconds every time you want to turn a page in your Nook, here's the answer. The software just works great and makes navigation faster and smoother.

- Much longer battery life: About 1 whole month with Wi-Fi turned off, and about 10 days otherwise. If you're careful, the 10 day period can even be an understatement. Also, this low energy consumption means the Kindle 3 reading device never gets hot, so you can hold it for as long as you want.

- The Amazon Kindle 3 holds over 3,500 books and allows you to organize them into categories.

- Enhanced read-to-me features. Now it can even be used for guided navigation.

- Mp3 player: Again, nice touch, but not too advanced at the moment.

How to compare the Amazon Kindle 3 and B&N's Nook.

Here are some of the main points:

- Price: Kindle 3 is $ 10 cheaper than the Nook. I wouldn't base my decision on this, but you may want to take it into account.

- Screen: This is the grounds on which most of us will make our choice. The Nook offers a color LCD screen, which some people tend to prefer at first. In my opinion, a color screen with LCD technology not only distracts you from your reading, but it hurts your vision if you read long enough, particularly under sunlight. Kindle 3's e-ink technology is the best at what it does: allow you to focus on your text and let you read as comfortably as possible.

- Navigation and general interactivity: Everything seems to be much faster and smoother on the new Amazon Kindle 3 reader (not so much on Kindle 2, mind you). Both navigating and turning pages is much faster with the new Kindle. Also, the new Key disposition on Kindle 3's dashboard make it very comfortable to use, and general ergonomics have been improved from previous Kindle models. Then again, ergonomics are the one thing I like about the Nook. Also, Nook's touch screen may seem hipper, particularly in this iPhone era. However, after navigating this way for about a month you'll start to miss Kindle's keys. Again, they have very good disposition and don't distract you from your reading. They're there for a reason.

- e-pub format. This is a popular open format that allows libraries to lend you books, for example, and it's used by B&N's Nook. The Kindle, on the other hand, still uses a proprietary format at the moment . This is an advantage for the Nook, but Amazon claims Kindle will soon incorporate similar functionalities. Besides, with Amazon's library of 100s of thousands of ebooks, this becomes less of a problem.

To sum up: I'd say both Kindle DX as well as the new and cheap Kindle 3 have taken the Kindle family definitely out of beta stage. They're very well thought reading devices, centered on the readers' needs rather than market tendencies. An Amazon Kindle 3 will put the best of current technology at your hands so that you can actually enjoy the act of reading. Even though there will always be a few features to add or improve, you can rest assured that when you buy a Kindle 3 you're buying the most advanced reading device in the market today. When you are involved in affiliate marketing, one of the ways you can judge the progress you're making is through a measure of the data derived from all your affiliate marketing activities. This data translates to marketing statistics, and it will be in your best interest to monitor these numbers to see how well you are doing in your niche, and if the income you are making as an affiliate marketer can be sustained with the level of your current efforts.

One of the marketing statistics you need to examine closely is the traffic you get to your site. Massive traffic can translate to sales and repeat customers, and you need to ascertain that you are getting enough traffic to maintain, and even increase your income. If the numbers aren't sufficient, you will need to find a new strategy.

While some affiliate marketing programs provide their affiliates with useful tools such as statistics trackers, you may want to get your own software to verify that all the information you receive is complete.

One such software you can use is Adtracks, which allows you to see all your website activity that you can link to the sales activity generated by it.

If you are running a Pay-Per-Click (PPC) ad campaign, statistics software specially designed for affiliate marketing sites can track all customer activity based on each keyword that you use. This can pinpoint the most productive and effective keywords, as well as the least successful ones which you can cull from your campaign.

To thrive as a marketer, you have to pay close attention to your marketing statistics. This way you can tell what to change and what to keep to remain on the top of your game in this competitive field.

Affiliate marketing is something that many webmasters know how to do. They know what it is about, and what it takes to be successful. However, if you are new to the webmaster world, you may just be wondering how you can get into affiliate marketing and making an income on the side for yourself.

Affiliate marketing can be used to make a decent income several ways. You can use a website, a blog, newsletter, email, ads etc. The list goes on and on. However, the most popular form of affiliate marketing is done with a website. When you choose the market that you want to promote, be sure that you choose one that you are somewhat familiar with. This way you can become an expert on the topic, and everyone will know that you are the king of that market. Once that is done, it is time for a URL.

There are many places that you can get your own domain from. Once you have decided where you will purchase that from, choose a URL that has the topic you are selling in the URL for the best results. For example, if you want to market cat food, you won't use a URL that has dog in it. Make sure that everything is all relevant.

Now that you have your market and your URL chosen, you will want to determine the hosting that you will use for your website. You need dependable hosting for the best results. A hosting company that has more up time than down time is best because during the down time, your website will not be accessible. So, get some recommendations from others that have tried a few and use the best that you can find. It is worth it to pay for good hosting.

Once that is done, you are ready to get your affiliate links and website set up so that you can market the most effectively. Determine the amount of money that you want to make, and set up an outline of how you are going to make it. There are so many ways that you can get a website out there to be seen, and you will want to make the best decisions. So, finding out the best ways for you to do this is that is cost effective is a good start.

Learning SEO which is also known as search engine optimization is a great idea. Using SEO to get your site higher in the search engine rankings with keywords will pay off in the end. You can learn it yourself, or you can pay someone to do this part for you. It is up to you. However, you should know that learning and using SEO yourself is time consuming. Hiring an SEO guru might be better for you.

Write articles about the market that you are promoting from your website and submit them to all of the article directories. When you include a back link to the site that you are optimizing that will help you as well with the search engines.
Affiliate marketing is not anything that you can make money with over night. You need to be able to build up and keep adding to your website daily or weekly, and keep it going. You can do it, just don't give up. Suggest Guide To Affiliate Marketing Articles

What is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is when you promote other people's products and get paid for them whenever you make a sale. The person who makes the software program, service, ebook or recording is called the affiliate merchant and the person who promotes the product is called the affiliate marketer.

The agreement between the merchant and marketer works to the advantage for both parties. The affiliate merchant pays only for the advertising that results in a sale. That way they can grow their business without a big upfront investment. The affiliate marketer is able to make a profit on products that may sell very well, but that he didn't have to produce.

How you get paid

Most affiliate programs use a special code assigned to you to track any sales that you make. An affiliate marketer uses this code on his websites and emails.

Whenever someone clicks on it and then goes on to buy the advertised product he or she kits paid. Commissions are usually sent out once or twice a month.

Tips for selecting affiliate products to promote

It's important that you choose your products carefully. Here are four top tips that you should consider before deciding to promote one.

Tip one: Choose programs that you yourself can believe in. You should feel comfortable recommending them to your family and friends if they were to ask you about it.

Tip two: You should actually purchase the product you plant to promote and use it. Sometimes the affiliate merchant will give you a trial copy.

Tip three: You should only promote products and services that have training programs and sales tools. These can include things like banners that you can put on your websites and in emails, email templates that you can send out and keywords you can use to build ads around.

Tip four: This is very important.

Make sure that commission rates are at least 50%. Also look for programs that will pay you a lesser commis

Typically, you're asked to sell a certain amount of product. In additional, you're suppose to recruit others to do selling. For those you recruit, you get a cut. That's one kind of "affiliate marketing" and is the "bad" kind because it's a pyramid scheme. There are alternatives that do fancy things so as not to be labeled as such, but they all have the problem that those that at the bottom end up losing because there's no one else to recruit. The other kind is where you sell a product for a company, such as cell phones or satellite dish services. This allows the primary company to expand their sales force, without actually having people on the payroll. You get paid by the sale. The other benefit to the company is that they aren't responsible for the sales tactics of the affiliate. Sometimes, an affiliate will make promises to a customer that the main company will need keep. By the time that the the customer finds out, the affiliate is either gone or simply says "not my problem." This isn't to say all affiliate marketers are dishonest, of course. And if you work hard to market your product, you can make nice commissions. But it's up to you to sell. In some markets, there is an over saturation.

There are various types of affiliate marketing "techniques" to make money, but the most common way is to join a company's affiliate program and start getting people to go to their website through link you may have on either a basic website, blog, or social media site etc... The links that you provide for people click on to go to an affiliate company's site tell the affiliate vendor's what web site sent them the customer and will track how much commission the affiliate marketer will get (which usually based on sales) and will send payment to the affiliate who directed the customer to them. Many affiliates who are profitable at this business will use their websites to harvest emails "legitimately" first. They do this by providing good content on their sites that readers are interested in. They then will ask for an email address to which they might send a free e-book, have a newsletter to subscribe too, or perhaps have a very educational video that can be watched. Many good marketers will then send good legitimate content to their potential customers that is useful to them, then "soft sell" sell them a product that will give them a commission for sending their buyer to the seller's site. The Super Basic Steps of Affiliate marketing in 5 steps: 1. Put up a website 2. Sign up for an affiliate program that you feel has products that you have the ability to promote well 3. Add the affiliate links that are provided from the affiliate program you signed up with to your website. 4. Continuously work to Optimize your site to be found in the major search engines and get visitors 5. Find more products and keep promoting and building your site Affiliate marketing is a REAL business. If you take it seriously and work hard at it, I honestly feel anyone can succeed. It's hard work, but well worth it. I heard that 99% who attempt internet business of people never make any money, and it's mostly because they quit too soon. There are many books you can get at local libraries that can get you educated on the subject. I recommend watching YouTube videos by lisa3876, my wife says she was the easiest for her to understand the concepts and really excited her to try and get started. By the way, when doing your research, be warned that affiliate marketing "educational" websites are usually trying to sell you something and can be VERY persuasive. Try not to buy anything if you can help it unless you are 100% ready to proceed and the seller has a minimum of a 30 day return policy so you have ample time to really review it. I've spent thousands on my education to build my affiliate business and can tell you that if you work at it consistently, it can be done. Good luck!

http://leafgardenpress.com/ Black Hat Affiliate Marketing - Legal? Yes. Ethical? Hmmm...

The terms defining the rights and obligations of the parties should be very clear. Perhaps the most important clause to include in the contract is a termination clause, in the event that a Product Vendor needs to take decisive action to put an end to harmful practices engaged in by an Affiliate which are damaging to it's interests and brand.

When an Affiliate promotes products online they often have a global presence and are doing business in a different jurisdiction than the Product Vendor. Whilst it is helpful to insert a jurisdictional clause stating what jurisdiction and law will govern any disputes which arise, such a clause will not always be conclusive. There may still be uncertainty as to where a relevant act or conduct has occurred which gives rise to a dispute and what law and forum a dispute should be determined in. Where legal action is commenced in the Affiliate's home jurisdiction, on the basis that this is more convenient in order to facilitate enforcement of a Judgment against an Affiliate, there is a possibility an Affiliate could try to frustrate such proceedings by arguing that there is a clause in the Contract which nominates a jurisdiction to be applied for the resolution of disputes which arise.

Therefore there is no clear answer as to whether jurisdiction or forum clause should be inserted into an Affiliate Marketing Agreement to protect your interests.

When a product vendor enters into a contract with a third party Affiliate Service Provider, it is customary for the provider to refer a network of Affiliates to the Product Vendor which may only have access to the physical address of the relevant Affiliate Website, but no information regarding the identity of the Affiliate Marketer.

In the absence of reliable whois information, acquiring this information through the use of discovery procedures such as through the use of subpoenas may be difficult and impractical.

A successful Affiliate may invest significant time and effort in understanding the products they are promoting, but may not be familiar with the legal and regulatory landscape in a particular jurisdiction. A Product Vendor who discovers an Affiliate engaged in making misrepresentations regarding their Product may incur vicarious liability for their illegal actions. Careful consideration should be given to addressing these issues in the Affiliate Agreement. A Product Vendor may consider closely pre-screening Affiliates or subjecting them to an approval process prior to appointing them to ensure they are reputable and have the relevant knowledge of the regulatory framework where they will be operating.

Many affiliates employ email marketing and it is important to ensure that an Affiliate promoting your product isn't purchasing customer lists without ensuring that customers listed have given permission to be contacted in an affiliate email marketing campaign. The only legitimate way to use email marketing is to send offers to targets who have given permission to email them. List building is a challenge faced by Affiliates who are sometimes tempted to use purchased spam lists or email harvesting software which will generally result in them being banned from a marketing network. Illegal email marketing practices may not only incur liability but also tarnish the Product Vendor's brand and attract significant penalties from regulators depending on the spam laws in the relevant jurisdiction.

Cookie stuffing is an illegal practice used by some Affiliates to gain credit for a sale from a user who has visited their website. The placement of cookies on a user's computer is done without their knowledge and without any referral to the product vendor's website. Affiliates have engaged in this practice to ensure they receive the credit for a sale even where there was no referral from them leading to the sale of the product. Adware companies have been prepared to act as Affiliates, resulting in the installation of software on an end user's computer without their consent. Irritating pop-up ads to promote the vendor's product not only cause disruption to the end user experience but cause end users to attribute blame to the Product Vendor. The practice may also breach anti-spyware laws, exposing a Product Vendor to legal liability for the Affiliate's actions.

Affiliates who elicit fake product reviews and make misleading and deceptive claims about products or features are also likely to be in breach of consumer laws. As a matter of urgency, the most pragmatic course of action is to terminate the affiliate's appointment upon discovery of such behaviour to mitigate damage and exposure to legal liability and sanctions

It is also important to monitor whether the Affiliate is implicated in unauthorised use of trademarks or the registration of domain names deceptively similar to your trademarks or brands. The best way to address this contingency is to ensure trademarks and domain names are registered in the most significant markets in which you trade. This contingency should be addressed in the Affiliate Agreement and if an Affiliate won't respond to take down requests, Google's complaint service may be used as a preliminary step to legal action.

Affiliates often promote competing products, placing them on comparison websites. It is advisable to monitor activities to ensure Affiliates aren't using a Product Vendor's product to sell a competing product which yields a higher commission. Some Affiliates have been known to use search engine strategies to direct users to advertising for a Vendor Product containing unfavourable reviews for one product they promote, coupled with favourable reviews for a competing product with a higher commission.

It is important to realise that whilst Affiliate Marketing is an excellent way of promoting sales of your product there are legal and practical considerations to be aware of. Most Affiliates are professional, knowledgeable and act with integrity.

However It is recommended that Product Vendors be aware of the dangers associated with Affiliate Marketing and also keep up to date with the latest marketing and advertising laws in the jurisdictions in which they trade. The Federal Trade Commission for instance has updated their Guidelines regarding advertising practices which both Internet Marketers and Product Vendors should familiarise themselves with.

This is the best way to ensure that Affiliate Marketing results in the promotion of both sales and brand and doesn't expose the Product Vendor to unnecessary legal or commercial damage.

Do you own an online bookstore and have been using other companies affiliate programs such as Amazon to make money. If so, then you are truly missing a huge money making opportunity.

If you are ready to go it alone and make money like real bookstores without the inventory, then keep reading. Did you know you can actually get the same list of supplies as Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and Wal-Mart? All they have is a list of book suppliers. They use this list and choose which company or companies they prefer to work with to order their books, CD's, and more. You will also have a list of drop shippers that will ship directly to your customers if you do not want to keep the inventory in your home or rent a location.

Not only will you have at your disposal the same list of suppliers, but also the list has been scrutinized to ensure the quality of the products.

The way in which to have this list at your disposal is by joining a wholesale community. A wholesale community is not just a list of suppliers, but is an entire community of individuals that use the various tools found in the member's only area only with an exclusive member's only forum so you can meet and talk with other members.

What can you expect to find with the list of book suppliers. An example would be a Canadian wholesaler that can provide you with an 80% off the publishers price as well as products such as cookbooks, sports books, children's books, novels, humor and gift books to books on health, gardening, history, nature, science, to name a few.

Each supplier has different order requirements as well, as how they ship whether drop ship or send directly to you. The idea is that you will be able to provide the same books as the larger bookstores without joining an affiliate program.

Question by windgate: What do other moms do to make money at home? I have used my hobbies to help bring in a little extra cash. Such as house plant and perennial work. But it doesn't bring much in. I have looked into freelance writing. I have done many articles for news papers etc... for free. But have never been paid for freelance as of yet. Also I have seen for example: If some one is into photography and desk top publishing, some have ran photo contest for the best looking child, pet etc... There may be a charge to enter. But that is where they get there pay out money for first prize. Others have let people enter there own photo to see if they qualify to be published. Regardless of how great the photo is, the person running the business says, your photo qualified. If you want a copy of the published book that contains your photo the price is insane. Could be $ 35.00 or even $ 80.00 for the published book. That is how the publisher makes the money. What have you found that you have fun with and make money at the same time. NO SPAM PLEASE! No chain letters, stuffing envelopes or sending out fancy magazines with the promise of making a fortune. I do know that some people make money with affiliate marketing etc... But only people that are really computer trained have luck with that kind of thing. I look forward to real answers. Not the empty promises of making money with a secret spam program that makes people so rich they can buy new boats, homes, cars etc... That is fraud! Fin Let me turn on my ESP homing device. Hmmmmm Hmmmmmm! Make money with your camera, start for free. http://listbuildingwithchrisandfin.com/Earn-Money-With-Your-Digital-Camera.html But I have to get out my credit card to start for free! Hmmmmmm! These people made hundreds on the photos they have taken with there digital camera. Buy this book to find out how. Hmmmmmm Now use these photos to start your own marketing program. You must have internet skills to develop your own computer program to rip people off, Or hire a computer expert! Hmmmmmm. SOUNDS LIKE SPAM TO ME! As for the other answer related to the same program as click bank. Tried it! For a long time. Never made a penny! It is also considered SPAM. And as for the Secret Shopper. I got an invite in my mail. There is a bogus claim that there are a couple thousand businesses in my zip code screaming out looking for secret shoppers. Hmmmmmm. In my zip code there may be about twelve businesses if I really look around and count. Best answer for What do other moms do to make money at home?:

I have a number of friends who are working from home Our old bookkeeper from work works as a freelance bookkeeper. She now just comes into our office one day a week for an hour in the morning to pick up any invoices and turn over anything she's worked on in the past week. Through friends she has also been able to pick up work with a few local small companies who can't afford an in-house or don't need full time bookkeeping services. Another friend started a custom cookie/cupcake company out of her home. She's always loved to bake and now makes custom cookies and cupcakes for birthday parties, weddings, christenings, football games, school functions, charity events, etc. She's had so many orders this week for Superbowl decorated cupcakes. It started all through word of mouth and now she advertises in the local newspaper and in her church bulletin. My friend Liz who was a yoga and fitness instructor before having kids turned her basement into a studio where she does private one-on-one appointments, most of the clients are parents of kids at her kids' school I know other people who are music teachers, language tutors, child minders, etc from home

Alright, so I'm a stay at home dad. I've been working from home on the internet now for a few years. One thing I also do on the side is market research AKA secret shopping. It's free to get started and if you don't need a ton of extra cash you can easily make $ 300-$ 500 a week. Honestly though I make the most money online as an affiliate marketer. I promote various products and see commission checks in the mail and through my paypal account. It is not an get rich quick scheme or pyramid scheme. It's a sales position. You work as a promoter essentially. I found all the information I needed to get started with a free video course. I don't know if it's still up of not. but the site I found it at was called www.cashdailyvip.com But no business you start is free. Even if it's something you already do as a hobby. Setting up a business online takes a little money initially. Once you build traffic to your site you might find your one man shop is not enough. Which is why I stick to sales alone. As an affiliate I don't stock any products and I'm not responsible for customer support. Everyone does their own thing and that's what works for me. I hope this helps.

I remember him from childhood, and he was always in the lab doing experiments and research. Now he is a brilliant business man and I assure his success is research. An affiliate marketer should start from scratch, select a niche he is familiar with and ... Top Skills You Need to Develop as an Affiliate Marketer

Your main goal as an affiliate marketer is to offer the most value to your target market. The content you post to your affiliate marketing website is part of the value you offer. Therefore it is highly important that your affiliate site is updated with fresh content on a regular basis. Besides that, your visitors are not going to buy from you if they feel that your content is outdated, it will make you look unprofessional.

Even the search engines prefer sites that are updated from time to time with relevant content, which leads us to relevancy. Speaking of relevancy, keep the focus of your content relevant to the products you are promoting. Your commission should not be the deciding factor for you promote a product. It's important to stay grounded and be sure of what your actual target is with the site. So if you're promoting gardening you shouldn't post content not related to that topic.

Your customers will get the most value out of high quality content. This leads to higher sales, enabling you to grow your business in the long run.

Concentrate more on building relationships than making sales. By building relationships, your audience will get to know you and that will make getting sales easier. There are many ways to do this. One way is by giving your subscribers value. Posting high quality content is another good way to build relationship as that will keep your visitors coming back again and again. You can start a blog and write informative posts, where your visitors can interact with you through the comments, invariably creating a relationship. All of this takes a little effort on your part, but it goes a long way.

Another factor to success is knowing your market inside and out making market research skills invaluable. Once you know your market you will know how to best serve your audience. Learn exactly what your customers are looking for, then use that information to customize your affiliate products.

As you decide what products to promote, use every tool you can because this a critical step for your business. If you want to make this process easier, try getting feedback from your existing traffic to see where you're going. Forums and discussion boards are also a good resource for getting feedback from others working in your niche. So affiliate marketing isn't that difficult; it's just directing targeted traffic to the right offers.

Answer by cipherscribe91376
Affiliate marketing, a few years ago, was not unlike the Gold Rush in California back in the 1800s. A few people made bank by creating blogs and selling affiliate products, two activities that don't require a dime to get started, and pretty soon the "Get Rich Online" movement was born. But things are changing. In order to be successful at Affiliate marketing, niche marketing, or any other type of online marketing, you need to convey authority, relevancy and trust with your primary audience. This can't be done with a simple blog anymore, or a nice fancy banner. Today's Internet user is incredibly computer savvy, as well as sales-savvy. Only a few years ago, consumers online really didn't know how to handle e-commerce. Scams were prevalent and nobody shopped online because of the trust issues. But today's consumer is much smarter and is much more hip to the scams. You can still make a lot of money with Affiliate marketing, but you must be smart about it. You must get into your target market's head and ask yourself, "What would cause me to buy from me?" If you can answer that question, you'll go far in this business. Just remember, it's all about creating authority within your subject matter. Do you know your subject inside and out? With Affiliate marketing, do you know your product or service inside and out? If you don't know the answers to those questions, you're going to find it very difficult to sell to the common online user. The online marketing game is changing and you had better be ready to bring your A game if you hope to make it. That all being said, in order to make money in affiliate marketing, you need to: 1. Only use quality writing and design work. If you're not good at writing or design, consider outsourcing your marketing materials from expert designers, coders, writers and marketers. 2. Only choose to promote products that you can really get behind. Your audience must trust you or else you won't go anywhere. Either promote only the products you've used yourself, or only promote products that you've done extensive research on. You should know who created the product and you should scour the net for online reviews. Find a top-quality product and your target audience will thank you for it many times over. 3. Use Attraction Marketing. Instead of being the pushy salesperson (won't work nowadays), you need to bring your audience to you. Jump on forums and blogs and give great advice and let your audience know that you're the go-to person in your field. Soon, your audience will be so intrigued that they'll flood your page to find out what you're all about. And, since that traffic is targeted, they'll be very interested in the products and services you're offering. AND they'll trust your recommendations on those products and services because they now see you as the expert. Cha Ching! 4. Finally, don't give up. Affiliate marketing may be free to start, but that doesn't mean that it's going to be easy. There are a lot of crappy products out there and there is a LOT of competition. Just hang in there, keep plugging away, keep building authority, relevancy and trust and you'll outperform, outrank and outsell all of those other competitors. The cream always rises to the top and with Affiliate Marketing it's no different. Always bring quality and you'll be fine. Hope that helps. Good luck!

Shawn Collins of blog.affiliatetip.com discusses tax software and accountants for affiliates. Q Are you aware of any software or services that keep track of taxes for online affiliates? Also any accountants that work with online affiliates? A: When it comes to taxes, I don't see a reason for a solution that is unique to affiliate marketing. If you're going to do it yourself, I guess check out Quicken or QuickBooks. Personally, I've been using a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since I started as an affiliate in 1997. Anyhow, one service I find useful for tracking my payables and receivables in affiliate marketing is mint.com. This free service enables you to link your bank accounts and credit cards, so you can quickly get a snapshot of what you're spending and earning with your affiliate efforts. I find this helpful to have another source of aggregated information to make decisions on which affiliate marketing projects to focus on. And then when it comes to finding an accountant, I also don't see a need to hire somebody with knowledge of affiliate marketing. I've always gone with local firms, and that has worked just fine for me. Ask local business owners for referrals.

Question by Lp: How do I start affiliate marketing with this website idea? I want to make a website about a location and that's all I have right now. I would just write about the places that are their and stuff. But how do I turn this into a money making site when this idea is so vague??? I just a beginner so please help me. Or should I think of another IDEA????? Best answer for How do I start affiliate marketing with this website idea?:

Answer by imarketingstuff
Think about what your location has to offer. What would be a popular tourist site. Can you rent a car at this location? Are there any rental car companies in that location that are also online that also has an affiliate program. Also check with the online ticketing companies like expedia, cheaptickets.com, orbitz, etc. If your location is a common enough place, you could sign up to their affiliate program and have a link to a page with great hotel rates, etc. Adsense is another great way to get advertising revenue. You might want to experiment with using a bunch of these, but don't go crazy on the ads. Make them part of your website but not all over your website; otherwise, it's just too obvious you're trying to sell somebody something.

Answer by Jake
It might be a long haul to convert "places that are their and stuff" into money. One idea is a local store directory, the pros will create a site, pump in traffic using seo tricks, so a search for calamazoo sushi, brings up their site, then rent ad space to local restaurants. .You might just start with a couple of blogs with no income expectations, just to get your feet wet.

Answer by Jesse W
If I understand your question right. You would want to start a blog or website about what that location has to offer people. Then once you start getting a good amount of traffic you would want to start talking to the business owners to see if they offer a product or service that you can sell and make a profit from. This seems like to much work for a beginner. I would just start off with something easier.

Are you looking to make more money online through your business or website? Like with any good money making venture, you will need an affiliate marketing strategy.

Your own affiliate marketing strategy will depend on a couple of different aspects, and you have to make sure that your strategy is suited to you and your needs.

Affiliate marketing strategies really depend on your own personal and business marketing and revenue objectives and the perspectives that these objectives come from.

For example if your company offers products and you want to expand your sales you could engage in affiliate marketing by joining an affiliate marketing programs or by getting other websites to sell your product for you. For example Amazon.com has an associates program, where they take a commission from every product they sell.

The most successful strategies ensure that you have clear and definite criteria for accepting affiliates.

And you need to make sure that you are encouraging a commission structure and that you have a fraud mechanism in place to protect you from losing money.

You need to be aware of your own policies and branding. Whether you will take pay per click clients, or offer pay per click on your banners. What sort of branding do you want for your product/website, and make sure you only accept providers/advertisers that are in line with those needs.

If you are focusing your affiliate marketing strategy on improving your search engine ranking, establishing a PPC campaign or setting up a high quality website with good content then there is one thing you definitely need to be doing. You need to start thoroughly researching hot niche keywords.

These will help you attract much more traffic to your site and also maximize the benefits of your campaigns.

You need to do a lot of research to find the hot niche keywords that have low competition - this truly is an element that will greatly enhance your success.

I think that a very important and effective affiliate marketing strategy is in your content creation. You can get significantly more effective results with much less competition. To do this you need to be researching niche keywords thoroughly.

If you own a website and you want to boost your revenue potential by selling or advertising products and services from other companies, then the most effective strategies are really about the identification and selection of which affiliate programs and products that you choose to have on your site.

Choosing an affiliate marketing strategy that is right for you is one of the most important business decisions you will make. Your strategy is what will really shape the decisions that you make.

Being good at affiliate marketing isn't as easy as just sticking up a few banners online and waiting for the cash. You have to do market research, you have to know your target audience and you have to understand the more delicate ins and outs of the business and have a real commitment to what you are doing.

You need to be doing constant research on the market, on what

Internet Affiliate Marketing With No Website [affiliatemarketingsblog.blogspot.com]

Question by : What are some free ways to advertise my affiliate marketing website? I have absolutely no money right now to use for advertising my affiliate marketing website. I just paid a web designer to develop a coupon like site that promotes affiliate products, but I have not made any money on it yet (it's only a month old) and now I don't have money for advertising. What do you suggest I use for completely free advertising? Best answer for What are some free ways to advertise my affiliate marketing website?:

Answer by Barbara
There are actually plenty of free ways to advertise your website. Things like article marketing and Squidoo are a great way to get backlinks to your website and advertise it. Write up a few articles that relate to your website and then post then on places like ezinearticles and other free article directories. You can also check out making a Squidoo page or a Hub Page that relates to your website. Another way to advertise your website is to join any forums where you think people would be interested in your website and put the link in your signature. Just be sure that you don't spam the forums and try to participate according to the rules of the forum. A great way that you can advertise your affiliate marketing website is through social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. These are free to make accounts on and then just spend a couple of days trying to find some friends that may be interested in your website. If you want more options for free advertising I recommend that you check out the website www.mattbacak.com. He has great information on there and even has a newsletter and membership group that you can sign up for.

Profile

Makoto's strong, independent personality is hinted at in her most striking physical featureer unusual height. She is stated at her first appearance in the series to be very tall, and considerable notice is taken in the Japanese versions, although this trait is downplayed in English translations (as her relative height is not all that uncommon in the West). She is also physically very strong, and in fact was rumored to have been kicked out of her previous school for fighting. She is introduced to the series after transferring to Azabu Jban Junior High, where Usagi and Ami are students, and where she stands out all the more because her school uniform is different from everyone else's; unable to find anything in her size, the school's administration tells her to wear her old one. It has a long skirt, which when coupled with her curly hair, was a common visual cue for a tough or delinquent girl at the time the series was created.

However, unlike these delinquent girls, her curly hair is natural. Despite her tough appearance, she is very gentle. She always wears pink rose earrings and a sea-green hair tie that decorates her ponytail, even when transformed.

One of the most consistent characters across the many versions of the series, Makoto is always depicted as simultaneously the most masculine and most feminine of the younger Senshi. She is tall, strong, physical, and practices martial arts and other sports, but at the same time is rather busty and an excellent cook and house-cleaner (when Makoto and Usagi first meet in the anime she beats up bulliesnd then offers Usagi delicious homemade muffins). Her most closely-held dream is to get married and own a cake and flower shop, and she loves romance novels.

Her favorite class is home economics and her least favorite is physics. After entering high school, she also joins the cooking and gardening clubs. She likes all foods, but especially cherry pie, and meatloaf, and her favorite colors are green and pink. Like many of the other Scouts in the anime, she's incredibly boy crazy, and often says boys they meet "Look like her old boyfriend." She loves horses and hates cheaters.

Makoto is one of the most loyal Scouts, she is a great friend, especially to Usagi. Early in the anime series, when the other Scouts are doubting Usagi, Makoto is the only one to consistently stand by her, and defend her. Makoto has loyalty to and faith in Usagi, and she never criticises her like the other Sailor Scouts.

Makoto in her school uniform, drawn by Naoko Takeuchi. The long skirt and curly hair, unique to her, are a Japanese visual cue representing her "tough girl" personality.

Her domestic talents are explained as a deliberate effort to overcome her tomboyishness. In the live-action series she enjoys shopping, but eschews "girly" things; she cooks, but also physically overpowers bullies; she reorganizes her home, but does so with a sledgehammer. She insists that she is not the least bit feminine, and seems surprised and touched when someone tells her she is.

This dual nature comes from a need to be self-sufficient: in the manga continuity her parents died in a plane crash when she was very young and she has since then looked after herself. She is self-sufficient almost to a fault, and becomes extremely nervous anytime an airplane passes overhead. In the anime, Makoto lives alone, but it is never explicitly stated that her parents are dead in the English adaptation, she says she cannot take care of a cat because her mother is allergic and later in the series she is shown boarding an airplane without any mention of fear. In Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, Makoto's parents' death is told in a flashback in Act 6, but how they died is not mentioned. In one of the Special Act, it is reveled that when Makoto is nervous, she cooks and cleans non-stop.

Makoto has at least one former boyfriend; the importance of this subplot, as well as her level of obsession with cute men, varies wildly between adaptations. Fans of the anime typically have a perception of Makoto as extremely boy-crazy; a recurring gag is her obsession with people who look like the older classmate (sempai) who once broke her heart (unnamed except in the English dub, where he is called Freddy). In the manga, her "sempai" is mentioned only once or twice, and in the live-action drama is an integral part of why Makoto feels she needs to be alone. In each version, there are mentions of other men who were very briefly a part of her life. Makoto is generally attracted to Motoki Furuhata, especially in the anime, but only in the live-action show do they become close. By the end of the direct-to-DVD Special Act, they are engaged to be married.

One quirk of Makoto's was made famous among English-speaking fans due to the translation of a particular anime scene. The girls are arguing over which of them should play the part of Snow White in a play. In Japanese, Makoto insists that she would be best for the role because she has the largest breasts. In the English adaptation, she still points at her chest, but states instead that she has the most "talent." As a reference to this, anime fans occasionally use the term "talented" as a euphemism for "busty."[citation needed]

As a character with different incarnations, special powers, transformations and a long lifetime virtually spanned between the Silver Millennium era and the 30th century, Makoto gains multiple aspects and aliases as the series progresses.

Sailor Jupiter

Makoto's Senshi identity is Sailor Jupiter. She wears a uniform colored in green and pink, with rose-shaped earrings and green, laced-up boots. In the manga and live-action series she has a belt carrying a small ball of potpourri. She is given specific titles throughout the various series, including Soldier of Protection, Herculean Jupiter, Soldier of Thunder and Courage,, and Soldier of Caring. Her personality is no different from when she is a civilian, although certain powers are unavailable to her in that form.

In Japanese, the name for the planet Jupiter is Mokusei (?), the first kanji meaning 'tree' and the second indicating a celestial object. Although the Roman planet-name is used, Sailor Jupiter's dominant element is wood due to this aspect of Japanese mythology. Unusually, most of her attacks are based in her secondary power, which is lightning in reference to the Roman god Jupiter. She is by far the physically-strongest of the Guardian Senshi, able to lift a full-grown man above her head, even while ice skating or to stop a stone pillar from falling. In the early manga, she always has a short antenna coming from her tiara, which serves as a lightning rod; eventually this takes on the same role as in the anime, and extends upward only when she summons lightning. It does not appear in the live-action series.

As she grows stronger, Sailor Jupiter gains additional powers, and at key points her uniform changes to reflect this. The first change takes place in Act 37 of the manga, when she obtains the Jupiter Crystal and her outfit becomes similar to that of Super Sailor Moon. She is not given a new title. A similar event is divided between Episodes 143 and 154 of the anime, and she is given the name Super Sailor Jupiter. A third, manga-only form appears in Act 42, unnamed but analogous to Eternal Sailor Moon (sans wings).

Princess Jupiter

Planetary symbol of Jupiter

In the Silver Millennium, Sailor Jupiter was also the Princess of her home planet. She was among those given the duty of protecting Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom. As Princess Jupiter, she dwelt in Io Castle and wore a green gown she appears in this form in the original manga, as well as in supplementary art. Naoko Takeuchi once drew her in the arms of Nephrite, but no further romantic link between them was established in the manga or anime, In the stage musicals, it is stated that the two of them were in love at the time of the Moon Kingdom, and this is also implied in the Another Story video game.

Special powers and items

In her first Senshi form, Sailor Jupiter demonstrates her power over lightning with Sparkling Wide Pressure

Makoto is portrayed as unusually strong for a teenage girl, but like the other Sailor Senshi, she must transform in order to gain access to her celestial powers. She transforms into a Sailor Senshi by raising a special device (pen, bracelet, wand, or crystal) into the air and shouting a special phrase, originally "Jupiter Power, Make-up!" As she becomes more powerful and obtains new transformation devices, this phrase changes to evoke Jupiter Star, Planet, or Crystal Power. In the anime, Sailor Jupiter's transformation sequence evolves slightly over time, whether to update the background images or to accommodate changes to her uniform or a new transformation device, but they all involve electric charges forming an atom path which encircles her body.

In the manga, Sailor Jupiter's first named attack is Flower Hurricane, which is immediately followed by calling down lightning. Emphasis is quickly placed upon her electric-based powers, and these are the norm in all versions of the series. Her primary attack for the first story arc and most of the second is Supreme Thunder, for which she calls down lightning from the sky with a tiny lightning rod that extends from the stone on her tiara (or, in the live-action series, with her leg). Although she channels this power, she is not immune to its effects, and can use her body to focus the electricity in a suicide move. It is upgraded twice for one-off attacks in the anime series: once to Supreme Thunder Dragon, and much later to Super Supreme Thunder.

In the second story arc Sailor Jupiter gains Sparkling Wide Pressure, which, aside from a manga-only power called Jupiter Coconut Cyclone, remains her primary attack for the rest of the second story arc, all of the third, and much of the fourth. When she takes on her second Senshi form (Super Sailor Jupiter in the anime), she acquires a special item, a wreath of oak leaves, which is described in the manga as "the emblem of thunder and lightning." It appears in her hair and enables her to use Jupiter Oak Evolution.

Sailor Jupiter's earrings, large pink roses, are occasionally significant. She wears them in both her Senshi and civilian forms, and can use them as a projectile weapon if she needs to. When they first meet in the manga, Usagi thinks the roses have a nice fragrance, and late in the anime the sight of them brings her back from temporary memory loss because it reminds her of Tuxedo Mask. Much more important, in the manga, are the Jupiter Crystal and Leaves of Oak. The former is Makoto's Sailor Crystal and the source of all of her power, which becomes especially important in the fifth story arc. In the live-action series, she frequently uses unnamed electric attacks, and is given a tambourine-like weapon (the Sailor Star Tambo) by Artemis. In the final episode, the Tambo transforms into a lance.

Development

Makoto is present in the original proposal for a hypothetical Codename: Sailor V anime, but her name is given as Mamoru Chino. Creator Naoko Takeuchi confirms that this character eventually became Makoto, and writes that the original concept was quite differentakoto was not only tough, but in fact was meant to be the leader of a female gang as well as a smoker. A very similar name was later given to the series' male protagonist, Mamoru Chiba.

Sailor Jupiter's original costume design, like the others', was fully unique. It featured buckles, very long gloves, blue and yellow highlights, a bare lower torso, and a profusion of thin, dark pink ribbonslong with a face-plate and communicator. Later, Takeuchi was surprised by these sketches and stated that she did not remember drawing them. Her instructions to the animators included a note that Makoto should appear muscular, "a little meatier than normal."

Certain background details of Makoto's character were chosen symbolicallyor instance, her Western astrological sign is given as Sagittarius, which in astrology corresponds to the planet Jupiter. In reference to a popular Japanese belief, her blood type is given as O, supposedly indicating friendliness and vanity.

The kanji of Makoto's surname translate as "tree" or "wood" (, ki?) and "field" or "civilian" (, no?). Her given name is in hiragana makoto (?) and therefore difficult to translate. Possible meanings include "truth," "wisdom," and "sincerity." The given name "Makoto" is usually a male name, but is sometimes given to girls; its use here highlights Makoto's tomboyishness. Her entire name is structured as a pun, as the syllable "no" indicates a possessive, so that her name can also be understood as "Makoto of Trees."

Reception and influence

The official Sailor Moon character popularity polls listed Makoto Kino and Sailor Jupiter as separate entities. In 1992, readers ranked them at eleventh and fifth respectively, out of thirty eight choices. One year later, now with fifty choices, Jupiter dropped to the eleventh most popular while Makoto was twelfth most popular. In 1994, with fifty one choices, Sailor Jupiter was the seventeenth most popular character and Makoto was eighteenth. In early 1996, with fifty one choices, Makoto was the twenty third most popular character and Jupiter was the twenty seventh.

A five-book series was published, one book on each of the Guardian Senshi and Sailor Moon. Makoto's was released in 1996. This book was later translated into English by Mixx.

Actresses

In the original anime production of Sailor Moon, Makoto is voiced by Emi Shinohara. For the English-language dub, the voice of Lita is provided by Susan Roman. She is the only significant human character in the English dub to be played by the same voice actress through the entire series run. Patricia Tollett provides English vocals for songs sung by Lita in the English dub.

In the musical version, Makoto has been portrayed by 12 actresses: Noriko Kamiyama, Marie Sada, Takako Inayoshi, Emika Satoh, Akari Tonegawa, Chiho Oyama, Emi Kuriyama, Yuriko Hayashi, Ayano Sugimoto, Kaori Sakata, Karina Okada and Mai Watanabe.

In Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, Makoto is played by My Azama. Also, child actress Misho Narumi portrays Makoto in flashbacks, dream sequences, and childhood photos.
