Question by : Any tips on a good successful path for beginners in Internet Marketing? Just started promoting products with Amazon Affiliate program and ClickBank. I only have a free blog and no website yet. If you can guide me with tips on where to start or some proven methods to success that have worked for you would be appreciated. I have been in your very shoes. I learned all I could about making a website...then created one with some help - http://www.everythingmaternal.com. After I created it I had no idea how to market it. So I cold called an internet marketing firm and asked if I could work for free. More than a year later I am working full time as an seo/smo analyst with the same company. The only proven method is to build quality content and quality link. Even if you buy traffic from source like Adwords you will need a site with some content and link. Thin site just doesn't work anymore that's why i don't suggest people to start with free blog. You just don't own the blog and all your hardwork could go waste if they decided to close your blog for no reason. I heard the same story over and over again and i don't want it to be happen on you. So please go get a domain and hosting

Theres a lot of good information here, make sure you pay attention to everyone's answers. I agree that you should not use a free blog. I would spend the couple bucks and get your own domain name and hosting. The domain name will only cost you $ 10 and hosting is just a few bucks a month. If you're looking fro reliable hosting check out Reliabox. They are a smaller company I've been using for a few years and their customer support and uptime are AMAZING. You do not want to use a free blog because if for some reason you do something they don't like or is against their TOS (did you actually read all of their terms of service?) they can take down your blog and all of your work is GONE! The real key is to provide quality content, stuff people will want to read. Just keep adding quality content and traffic will start to come to your site.
