Have you ever considered writing articles to promote your products?

Articles are a great way to promote your products and make money online.  Once you write an article you will want to submit it to an article directory.  An articles directory is an online website that will allow you to post your article and allow it to be viewed by anyone online.  My favorite article directories are Ezine, GoArticles, ArticleBase and IdeaMarketers.  There are a lot more out there though and you need to find the ones you like.

Before you start writing articles, pick a niche that you want to be in.  You need to pick a topic within that niche and start writing. 

The body of your article must provide relevant, original and quality information. It is important that it is your article and it is original. You cannot take an article from someone else and reprint it as yours, even if the author does give permission to do so.  These types of articles are not allowed to be posted on article sites. 

While your purpose in writing the article is to promote your product or service and make money online, you cannot directly sell or promote in the article body.  You need to save the self promotion for your author resource box.  You need to read the rules of each article site carefully so that you don't get banned or your articles don't get published.  Usually, you are allowed at least two self promoting links in your author resource box.

It's best to keep your article short and to the point.  Most people surfing the web are in a hurry and will only skim through your article looking for relevant points that interest them.  If they don't' find your article interesting, they will close it up and move on.  Make sure you are in compliance with the article directories rules because some want shorter articles and some want longer articles.  If you don't meet their guidelines, it won't get published.

If you don't think you are a good writer don't worry.  With practice, it will get easier.  Go online and see what other authors are writing about.  It's a great way to get ideas for your articles.

Just get started and you will usually find that ideas will come to you.  You can write an article to promote just any topic that you want.
