I am not in GA but my I have been an affiliate of CJ for 4 years so my best advice is you can build a website if you have a targeted traffic however I prefer direct linking before building a landing page. Infact I do PPC and I build website from free website builder and hosting and I am competing with internet guru's in the same market.The free website builder is at synthasite dot com and you do not require any html knowledge.Get a hungry market first and then build a website otherwise you will have no traffic.

By simply contacting the product owner you will learn a lot about the product and will the be able to avoid the affiliate junction. If the product owner still continues to throw figures at you about what you will earn then this sounds suspect.
